M. Peter Roy possesses a proven track record in commercial real estate. He is an expert in the areas of site selection as well as marketplace research and analysis. Within his field, Peter excels at real estate negotiation and mediation for purchases and leases. He has demonstrated excellence and creativity with the development of retail and restaurant outparcels. Peter was employed by McDonald’s Corporation in various real estate and restaurant development capacities for 28 years. His most recent position there was serving as Lead Director of Restaurant Development for McDonald’s Mid-America Group which covered a very large portion of the U.S. Today Peter is a commercial real estate broker and consultant for Max J Derbes, Inc Realtors. He is licensed in both Louisiana and Mississippi.
He began his real estate career as a leasing manager in 1983 with Maurin-Ogden Retail Development Corporation (forerunner to Stirling Properties). Prior to McDonald’s, Peter served in a senior director role assessing and disposing of owned real estate for the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC).
Peter received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University, majoring in Finance. While he was earning his degree, he served as LSU Student Body President on the Baton Rouge campus in 1981/82. He currently serves on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans.
